In local Explore, Jev chooses bounded search phrases for enabled image/video collections, then selects metadata highlights from image titles and descriptions. Retrieval code calls The Met, NASA, Cosmos, and Internet Archive; Jev receives no image pixels, video frames, or audio. The hosted preview uses keyword retrieval without Jev.

The user enters a prompt, selects image/video sources and optional styles, then starts Explore.
- Choose search phrases
Local Jev selects from bounded prompt/style-derived phrases for the enabled collections; sample queries and documented fallback behavior can apply.
- Retrieve and filter references
Collectors fetch metadata and media from the configured sources; code enforces source balance targets, eligibility, and duplicate filtering.
- Highlight and review
Jev can select metadata highlights for image sources; cards arrive for inspection, source linking, saving, and JSON export. Video playback remains code-managed.
Why it is interesting
It lets a bounded decision layer steer multi-source visual discovery while keeping provenance attached to references and making the local Jev and hosted non-Jev behaviors explicit.
